Camellia Sinensis Leaf Oil Persea Gratssima

Camellia oleifera leaf extract is extracted from the leaves of the Camellia oleifera, a shrub of the tea family a type of green tea that is native to Asia. High in vitamin E and polyphenols, Camellia oil is known for its ability to provide protection from environmental triggers. It is a powerful antioxidant, which has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties to help heal the skin. It is known for its ability to easily penetrate the skin without leaving that greasy feel. It is rich in oleic acid (which is excellent for dry skin helping to replenish skin’s moisture and prevent additional water loss) and linoleic acid which is also known for its rejuvenating properties. Also packed with vitamins A & B, Camellia oil is known for its anti-aging properties which help to improve skin elasticity and prevent the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is high in fatty acids, polyphenols and has many antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits which help the skin stay smooth and hydrated. Packed with vitamins, A, C, D and E, Avocado oil helps to smooth and soften the skin by strengthening skin barrier and preventing moisture loss. Due to its high properties of antioxidants and vitamins avocado oil has been shown to help with dry and irritated skin associated with eczema and psoriasis. Avocado oil may also help with wound healing. A 2013 PubMed study found that linoleic acid, oleic and other monosaturated fatty acids found in avocado seed oil can help speed up wound healing.

 Sea Buckthorn Oil

Sea buckthorn oil is extracted from the berries and seeds of the sea buckthorn plant (Hippophae rhamnoides), which is a small shrub that grows at high altitudes in the northwest Himalayan region. It is rich in unsaturated fat, antioxidants, and vitamins E and K, all of which function together to protect the skin’s integrity and promote renewal. Sea buckthorn oil is also rich in palmitoleic acid, which is a type of fat naturally found in human skin that can be used to treat burns and promote wound healing. Sea buckthorn oil is known for its ability to improve eczema and psoriasis due to its high source of omega-6 fatty acids.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil derived from the rosa canina rose bush, which is grown mostly in Chile, is high in antioxidants and Vitamin C which helps to protect the skin from free radicals preventing aging. High in essential fatty acids, including linoleic and linolenic acid, rosehip oil aids in the prevention of moisture loss and improves skin hydration. Due to its high fatty acid and antioxidant properties, the oil has been known for its reduction in fine lines and scars as well as wound healing. A 2015 study showed participants with post-surgical scars who treated their incision twice daily with rosehip oil experienced a significant improvement in scar colour and inflammation. High in vitamin A, rosehip oil helps to encourage skin cell turnover which exfoliates and brightens skin. Packed high with lycopene and beta carotene, known for their skin lightening properties which help reduce hyperpigmentation. Rosehip oil is rich in both polyphenols and anthocyanin, which may help to reduce inflammation and also contains vitamin E, an antioxidant that is known for its anti-inflammatory effects.
